PM Modi Expresses Delight Over Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum Making It To World Selection For UNESCO Prix Versailles Museums
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed delight over the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum in Bhuj, Gujarat making it to World Selection for the UNESCO Prix Versailles Museums 2024. In a social media post, Mr. Modi said that Smritivan in Kutch is a tribute to the lives lost in the tragic Earthquake of 2001. He said that it is a reminder of human resilience and courage as well.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also expressed pride as the Museum has been placed in the list of the seven most beautiful museums in the world under the prestigious Prix Versailles Award in the field of architecture and design announced annually at UNESCO. In a social media post, he said that it is a matter of pride for Gujarat that for the first time a museum in India has received global recognition for its expression of local culture and nature conservation.
The “World’s Most Beautiful” Achievements recognition, granted by the Prix Versailles highlights the primary role of the Laureates in beautifying and improving the living environment. These achievements, awarded each year by the Prix Versailles are examples presented to the world as signs of exceptional architecture and design.
