In Wimbledon, former champion, Elena Rybakina defeated Anna Kalinskaya to reach her third successive Wimbledon quarter-final. In the women’s singles round of 16, Kalinskaya has taken walk-over after a wrist injury.

In Men’s single round of 16, Seven-time champion and second seed Novak Djokovic will face 15th-seeded Danish, Holger Rune tonight at 9:30, IST.

Earlier, in the day, Italian 25th seed Lorenzo Musetti ended the remarkable journey of Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. In the clash Musetti secured a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 victory and advanced to his first Grand Slam quarter-final.

Carlos Alcaraz & Jannik Sinner Enter Quarterfinals

In Wimbledon, Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and world number one Jannik Sinner entered the quarterfinals of the tennis championship, yesterday.

Alcaraz held off a 4-set challenging match against Frenchman Ugo Humbert, and registered a win 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-5. In another match, World number one Sinner defeated American opponent Ben Shelton 6-2, 6-4, 7-6(9)  in two hours and nine minutes.

In today’s key fixtures, Seven-time champion and second seed Novak Djokovic will face 15th-seeded Danish, Holger Rune in the round of 16 of men’s singles tonight.

Fourth-seeded German Alexander Zverev will be up against 13th-seeded American Taylor Fritz in his fourth round. In women’s singles, former champion, Elena Rybakina takes on 17th seed Anna Kalinskaya.
