Wimbledon Tennis: Jasmine Paolini Enters Women’s Singles Final In London

In Wimbledon Tennis,  seventh-seeded Italian Jasmine Paolini has entered the final of Women’s singles. Paolini defeated Croatia’s Donna Vekic 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 in a fiercely fought Semifinal in London tonight.

In the other Semifinal, Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina will take on Barbora Krejcikova of Czech a short while from now.

In Men’s doubles, British-Finnish duo of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara entered the final beating the British New Zealand pair of Neal Skupski and Michael Venus in the Semifinal 8-4, 7-6 tonight.

Earlier, Austrian pair Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson entered the final beating top-seeded Spanish and Argentinian duo Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos 6-4, 6-4 in Semifinals this evening.

Russia’s Daniil Medvedev Defeats World Number One Jannik Sinner In Quarter-Finals

In the men’s singles quarter-finals of Wimbledon, Russian Tennis star Daniil Medvedev defeated world number one Jannik Sinner by 6-7(7), 6-4, 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-3 on Centre Court yesterday.

With this win in a head-to-head match, the fifth seed Medvedev has reached the semi-finals for the second consecutive year in the championship. He will now face world number three Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals on Friday.

While in the women’s singles, Croatia’s Donna Vekic edged out New Zealand’s Lulu Sun 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 in the quarterfinals in London yesterday.

Vekic has become the second Croatian woman to achieve this milestone in Wimbledon. She will now face world number seven Jasmine Paolini from Italy in the semi-finals tomorrow.
