Dhannipur Mosque: Bricks sourced from Saudi Arabia have been transported to Ayodhya to form the foundation of the Dhannipur Mosque.

This mosque, named Masjid-e-Mohammed bin Abdullah, underwent a ceremonial washing with Zamzam water from Mecca and was anointed with perfume from Medina. Engraved with verses from the Quran, these bricks are slated to arrive in Ayodhya after Ramzan, as announced by Haji Arafat Sheikh, the Chairman of the Mosque Committee.

The journey of these bricks involved dispatching them from Mumbai to Saudi Arabia for the rituals before bringing them back. The meticulous washing of the bricks is rooted in the deeply held beliefs of Muslims regarding the sanctity of Zamzam water.

Zamzam water holds profound significance for Islam adherents, with a history dating back approximately five thousand years. Legend has it that this miraculous well sprang forth beneath the feet of Prophet Ismail’s mother, Hagar, as she searched for water to quench her son’s thirst.

Named after the command “Zamzam” uttered by Hagar to halt the flow of water, the well has remained pure and free from impurities throughout the ages. Its water, rich in natural minerals, possesses a distinct taste and is cherished by pilgrims, who often bring it home after their Hajj journey.

The preservation of the Zamzam well has been paramount throughout history. From the guardianship of Prophet Muhammad’s grandfather, Abd al-Muttalib bin Hashim, to the oversight of successive caliphs and the Saudi Arabian government, meticulous care has ensured the uninterrupted flow of holy water.

Modern advancements, including technological innovations in extraction, pumping, and quality monitoring, have further safeguarded the integrity of Zamzam water. From traditional distribution methods to online procurement and home delivery services, efforts have been made to meet the increasing demand while upholding the water’s purity and mineral composition.

A dedicated laboratory in Mecca conducts regular testing to maintain the water’s quality, ensuring that Zamzam remains a cherished symbol of faith for Muslims worldwide.
