Congress Lodges Protest At Election Commission Over PM’s Remarks On Its Manifesto
Congress on Monday (8th April 2024) lodged protest at the Election Commission on Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi’s comment on Congress party’s manifesto.
A delegation of the party leaders led by senior leader Salman Khurshid met the Commission in New Delhi over the issue. Later talking to media, Mr Khurshid said, the party objected to Mr Modi’s comment that the manifesto has an imprint of Muslim League.
He said, they urged the Poll Body to look at the matter seriously and take action on it.
Party spokesperson Pawan Khera said, the party also raised many issues like Prime Minister’s hoardings in universities, BJP leader and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s alleged false affidavit and ban on some Youtube channels by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

He said, since elections are going on, the Election Commission should seriously look at the matters.
