The Indian Women’s Cricket Team landed in Colombo yesterday to take part in the Asia Cup T20 tournament, scheduled to begin from Friday in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
Harmanpreet Kaur led women in blue will kick off their campaign against arch-rival Pakistan on the opening day. In the group A of the tournament, India are along with Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Nepal.
The host Sri Lanka is in Group B along with Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
The defending champions India will look to lift the trophy again as they have won all the editions except the one in 2018, where they lost to Bangladesh in the finals.
