Monsoon Trough Passed Through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, And Eastwards To Manipur
The monsoon trough has passed through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, and then eastwards to Manipur.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand today.
It has been further said that the Southwest Monsoon has covered the entire country six days before the normal date. Moreover, there is very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana today and tomorrow. Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh are expected to experience heavy rainfall today.
Similar conditions are also likely over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat today. The northeastern part of the country is also expected to get heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next four days.
Speaking to Akashvani News, IMD Scientist Dr. Soma Sen delineated further on the monsoon activity in the country. Meanwhile, in the National Capital, a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain, thunderstorms, and lightning is likely for five to six days.

In its forecast it said, light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms, and lightning is expected in the northwest and central parts of the country during the next four days. Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat are expected to experience very heavy rainfall today. Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhatisgrah, and Madhya Pradesh are expected to experience heavy rainfall today. The northeastern part of the country is also expected to get heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next four days.
