Global Alliance Against Poverty:

The summit marked the launch of a global alliance to combat hunger and poverty, supported by 80 nations. PM Modi described the initiative as “commendable” and pledged India’s full support for food security and social upliftment efforts.

• Over 250 million people lifted out of poverty in the last decade.
• Free food grains provided to 800 million citizens.
