BCCI Announces India’s 15-Member India Women’s Squad for ODI Series Against Ireland
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the 15-member squad for India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland. Regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur and fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur have been rested for the series. In Harmanpreet’s absence, Smriti Mandhana will take over as captain, with Deepti Sharma named vice-captain.
The wicket-keeping duties will be shared between Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry.
The squad also features Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Tejal Hasabnis, Raghvi Bist, Minnu Mani, Priya Mishra, Tanuja Kanwer, Titas Sadhu, Saima Thakor, and Sayali Satghare.
The three-match series is set to begin on January 10, with the second match on January 12 and the final game scheduled for January 15. All matches will be hosted at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
India’s women’s team comes into the series on the back of a dominant performance in their last ODI assignment, where they secured a 3-0 whitewash against the West Indies in December.
This series against Ireland presents an opportunity for young players to showcase their talent and for the team to build momentum ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
