Eight-Nation Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 To Commence On July 19 At RDICS, Dambulla

The much-awaited eight-nation Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 will commence on 19th of this month at RDICS, Dambulla. Teams from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand will compete in this major contest for women’s cricket in Asia.

India, Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal are in Group A, while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand form Group B. The tournament will feature 15 matches, including two semi-finals and a final.

The opening day will see UAE facing Nepal at 2 p.m., followed by India vs. Pakistan at 7 p.m.

Mr. Ravin Wickramaratne, Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket, has been appointed Tournament Director. He emphasized the significance of hosting a successful tournament to boost women’s cricket globally.

All games will be broadcast live internationally, and the stadium will be open for the public to attend for free.
