Euro Cup 2024: England Will Face Switzerland In Quarterfinal

England will face in-form Switzerland in the quarterfinal of the Euro Cup 2024 at the Duesseldorf Arena in Germany, tonight.

England is bidding for its first European Championship title in 11 appearances while the Switzerland team is eyeing for their maiden semi-final spot.

Last time the two sides met was in an international friendly match in 2022, where England beat Switzerland by 2-1.

Earlier, Spain stormed into the semifinals defeating Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinals at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart, Germany. In the Second quarterfinal match, France beat Portugal in a penalty shootout to reach the semi-finals.

The semi-finals of Euro Cup will be played on 9th and 10th of July and the final in Berlin on 14th July.

UEFA European Football Championship: Spain Defeat Germany In Quarterfinal

In UEFA European Football Championship, Spain stormed into the semifinals defeating Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinals at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart. Dani Olmo for Spain opened the scoring after half-time and Wirtz for Germany brought back the game on level terms late in the second half.

Mikel Merino’s goal gives Spain a 2-1 victory over hosts Germany in Extra Time. Second quarterfinal match between France and Portugal is underway.

The semi-finals will be played on 9th and 10th in Munich and Dortmund with the final in Berlin on 14th of this month.
