Oman posted a total of 109/10 against Namibia’s disciplined bowling. However, Mehran Khan’s stunning spell helped Oman tie the game, taking the match in the super-over.
Namibia come out with flying colours in the Super Over and posted 21 without loss, which Wiese successfully defended by conceding just 10 runs and picking up a wicket to seal the victory in their opening Group B match.
In another match, Sri Lanka will take on South Africa at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, today. The match will start at 8 PM.

In the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket, Sri Lanka were 40 for 5 in 10 overs against South Africa at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Sri Lankan Captain Hasaranga won the toss and decided to bat first.
Earlier today, Namibia registered a thrilling victory over Oman to begin their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on a positive note at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The Gerhard Erasmus-led side won the game in Super Over as Namibia slammed 21 runs and Oman could score just 10 in response.
Batting first, Oman were bowled out for 109 in 19.4 overs at the Kensington Oval. In reply, Namibia were also restricted to the same team score with Jan Frylinck making 45 in 48 balls and Mehran Khan taking 3/7 to take the game into the Super Over.
