IPL: Chennai Super Kings Defeat Punjab Kings By 28 Runs At Dharamsala

Chennai Super Kings defeated Punjab Kings by 28 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala this evening. Put in to bat first, CSK posted a paltry 167 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets. However, Punjab could not manage to surpass the target, as the visitors sent the Punjab batters back to the pavilion at regular intervals. Punjab ended their run chase at 139 for nine in 20 overs, falling 28 runs short.

CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named the Player of the Match, for his outstanding performance. Jadeja smashed a quickfire 43 runs off just 26 balls, also bagged three important wickets as well. With this victory, CSK has gone up to third place in the points table with six wins and five losses, while PBKS is at the eight spot with four wins and seven losses.

In the second match of the evening, Lucknow Super Giants is taking on Kolkata Knight Riders, KKR at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. KKR were 155 for 2 in 13 overs, a short while ago.

Earlier, Lucknow won the toss and opted to bowl. Currently, KKR is at the second position in the points table, while Lucknow stands fourth.
