PM Modi To Hold Bilateral Talks With Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer In Vienna

PM Modi was today accorded a ceremonial reception in Vienna, Austria. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer also accompanied Mr. Modi. Prime Minister Modi reached Vienna from Moscow on the second leg of his two-nation visit yesterday. He was given a warm welcome from members of the Indian community upon his arrival.

Ahead of official talks, Mr. Modi met with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer and said that the strong India-Austria friendship will get even stronger in the times to come.

He also said that he is looking forward to their upcoming discussions adding that both nations will continue working together to further global good. Chancellor Nehammer also expressed his delight saying it is an honour to welcome Prime Minister Modi to Austria. He said that Austria and India are friends and partners, and he is also looking forward to the political and economic discussions during the visit of Mr. Modi.

Akashvani’s correspondent reports, that it is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years.

During the visit, Mr Modi will call on Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer today. Prime Minister Modi and the Austrian Chancellor will also address business leaders from India and Austria. Mr Modi will also interact with members of the Indian community in Vienna.
